Your complete 2026 guide to Thursday night dining before the show at Harmony Park.

Thursday nights in Arlington Heights have a new ritual. From June through August 2026, Sounds of Summer fills Harmony Park with free live music tribute acts, local favorites, and crowds of 500 to 1,500 people. The question we hear most at Toscana is always the same: where should we eat first?
This guide answers that. Whether you're coming out for the Eagles tribute on June 18th, the Matchbox Twenty night on June 25th, or any Thursday through late August a great dinner makes the evening.
The series runs every Thursday, June 4 through August 27, at Harmony Park (3105 N Kennicott Ave) and the adjacent Metropolis Performing Arts Centre. The outdoor lawn is always free; indoor Veranda Pass tickets are available for covered seating and a premium view.
Here's the June 2026 lineup:
| Date | Artist | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Thu, Jun 4 | Music with the Mayor! (Exit 147) | Local community kickoff |
| Thu, Jun 11 | Mac Attack | Fleetwood Mac tribute |
| Thu, Jun 18 | Heartache Tonight | Eagles tribute — high demand |
| Thu, Jun 25 | Matchbox 90s | Matchbox Twenty tribute |
The full schedule through August 27 is available on the Village of Arlington Heights website. Shows start at 7 PM — plan dinner accordingly.

The biggest mistake concert-goers make is cutting it too close. Harmony Park fills fast on Thursdays, and you'll want time to find parking and claim a lawn spot. Our recommendation: plan dinner for 5:00–5:30 PM for a relaxed two-hour meal before heading to the park.
Early seating means full menu, relaxed pace, no rush.
Claim your lawn spot. Popular shows fill early.
Music starts. Latecomers stand in the back.
For major tribute nights (Eagles, Matchbox 90s), we strongly recommend a reservation. Walk-in availability shrinks fast on concert Thursdays.
We're biased but we'll make the case anyway. When you're heading to a Thursday night concert, you want a place that doesn't rush you, serves food worth savoring, and sets the mood for the evening. That's what Toscana does.

There's a reason Toscana has anchored Arlington Heights dining for 17 years. Chef Frank's kitchen turns out handmade pasta — fettuccine carbonara, rigatoni boscaiola, baked penne with ricotta and mozzarella — alongside fresh-caught seafood and slow-braised proteins, every dish made from scratch daily.
For concert nights, we recommend ordering family-style: a shared antipasto board to start, a pasta course, and one of the chef's fish or veal specialties. The dining room has a warm candlelit energy unhurried, attentive, never rushed.
Cooking has never been just a job for me — it's how I show love. Every plate that leaves this kitchen carries a piece of who I am. I cook for you the same way I cook for my own family — with patience, passion, and the best ingredients I can find.— Chef Frank, Executive Chef & Co-Founder, Toscana Restaurant & Lounge

A downtown Arlington Heights staple with a lively pre-show atmosphere. Good for groups who want pints and pub fare before heading to the park. Expect a wait on popular concert nights.
Another downtown pub with a loyal local following. The patio is a great spot to linger over dinner on a warm June evening before walking to Harmony Park.
For a more formal pre-concert dinner, Wildfire delivers premium cuts and a strong cocktail menu. Reserve well in advance on summer Thursdays.
A newer addition to the Arlington Heights scene with a seasonal American menu and a relaxed, contemporary atmosphere. Good for couples or small groups who want something lighter before the show.
Harmony Park is at 3105 N Kennicott Ave, Arlington Heights, IL 60004. Street parking fills fast for popular shows. Here's what to know:
Concert Thursdays are not regular Thursdays for Arlington Heights restaurants. By Tuesday evening, popular spots are often fully booked for the 5:00–6:00 PM window. Call Monday or book online as soon as you decide you're going.
A rushed dinner doesn't set the right tone. Look for table service, moderate pacing, and a team that won't turn your table the moment you set your fork down. Toscana's Thursday service is designed exactly for this — dinner as an experience, not a transaction.
The outdoor Harmony Park area is a public park — outside alcohol isn't permitted. If you want wine or cocktails, enjoy them at dinner. Check the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre website for current drink policies in the indoor Veranda section.
Sounds of Summer runs 13 consecutive Thursdays. If you find a dinner-and-concert rhythm that works — same restaurant, same park spot, same people — lean into it. That kind of weekly ritual is what summer in the suburbs is made of.

Concerts begin at 7:00 PM every Thursday, June 4 through August 27, 2026. Arrive by 6:30 PM for a good spot on popular nights.
The outdoor section at Harmony Park is free and open to the public. Indoor Veranda Pass tickets at Metropolis require a purchase. Check the Metropolis website for pricing.
